This tutorial outlines how to disable a field in Microsoft Dynamics SL, formerly known as Solomon accounting software. This functionality is delivered by the Customization Manager module.
Disabling a field can only be done at the document level. If a field is disabled, it will still be visible, but users will be unable to enter data into it. To disable a field, you’ll turn on Customize Mode, putting a Customize dropdown menu at the top of your screen. Select the field you want to disable, and open the Properties window. In that window, change the Enabled value from True to False, and the field will be disabled.
