The Microsoft Dynamics GP team is in the middle of their Microsoft Dynamics GP Now & Next Tour, slated for eight cities. They’re meeting with partners, the value added resellers (VAR) who sell, implement, and customize Microsoft Dynamics GP. The team dropped by Dallas in late January, and the second stop was Wednesday, February 11th in Tampa. There they shared some incredibly strong sales numbers for the end of 2013 and the first month of 2014.
The Microsoft Dynamics GP Now & Next Tour is a full day event at each stop, and as the name of the tour implies, it offers partners a look at GP now and GP in the future. Microsoft Dynamics GP development has been fast and furious over the last year, and big upgrades are planned for this coming year as well, so there is a lot to talk about. The 3rd stop on the tour was Irvine, CA, on Thursday, February 13th, leaving five more to go:
- Washington, D.C.: Feb 18
- New York, NY: Feb 20
- Seattle, WA: Feb 24
- Chicago, IL: Feb 27
- Atlanta, GA: Mar 3 (Monday before Convergence)
So far the highlight of these events has been the giddy sharing of strong sales numbers for Microsoft Dynamics products, particularly Microsoft Dynamics GP. All numbers shared were for the US market. For the first half of the fiscal year, the Dynamics ERP SMB team is 109% ahead of plan. Customer adds are up 127%, and revenue growth is at 3%. In December 2013, revenue growth and customer adds were both over 100%.
Leading the way for this growth is Microsoft Dynamics GP, representing 69% of all customer adds and 62% of revenue. 56% of Microsoft Dynamics licenses sold have been for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
