The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 team launched its free phone apps for Windows, iPhone, and Android in late October, increasing the device options for CRM 2013 customers to access and use the solution soon after its release.
With the phone app, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 users can update tasks, notes, contacts, accounts, leads, and opportunities from a dashboard. Mobile phone access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM makes it easy to look up a name, phone number, physical address, or email address while on the go. You can also access personalized views of key performance indicator charts to track the specific business information you need to stay on top of.
When you log in to the phone app, you will see the list of entities that are enabled for the phone application, such as accounts, appointments, campaigns, cases, contacts, email messages, leads, letters, and/or opportunities. This list is based on a checkbox on the entity customization form, and is controlled by the Microsoft Dynamics CRM administrator. Once you are logged in, you can view record details and interact natively with the phone’s email, phone, and web applications.
This is Microsoft’s initial foray into phone access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and the company promises quarterly expansions in the capabilities of its Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 phone apps. As they are now, the phone apps already help users stay connected and productive wherever they are, keeping up to date with customer information on the go. You can arrive prepared for every appointment, and you can update notes, tasks, accounts, and more while the details are still fresh in mind.
