How to Create a Shipper Manually within Dynamics SL — Order Management

This tutorial illustrates how to manually create a shipper from a sales order in the Order Management module for Microsoft Dynamics SL, formerly known as Microsoft Solomon.

With a sales order, if you want your shipper to be created manually, then you will need to ensure that your Order Types screen is set up accordingly. From the Order Management module, choose Order Types under the Maintenance section. Enter your Order Type, then inspect the Never Automatically Create Shippers checkbox. If this checkbox is marked, then automatic shipper creation will be disabled, and manual shipper creation will therefore be enabled.
